Home/Jardine Motors' Continued Growth

Artavia Automotive client, Jardine Motors Group UK has made two major acquisitions in the first half of this year. The dealer group bought three Toyota dealerships in Ipswich, Colchester and Frinton-on-Sea and a Lexus dealership in Ipswich from Thorndale Investments for an undisclosed sum.

Following it's acquisition of the Wayside Group in May 2011, Jardine Motors Group is now a top six UK automotive retailer operating 82 franchises from 62 site in the UK.

The group now employs just fewer than 3,000 members of staff and had a combined 2010 turnover of £1.25 billion.

The steady growth of the group in 2011 was in addition to the acquisition of a Jaguar site in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, from Merritts Motor Group in November 2010. Earlier that year it was also named by McLaren Automotive as the dealer to represent the sports marquee in London.

Alun Jones, Jardine Motors Group Chief Executive said: "We are delighted to have acquired the Thorndale dealerships and growing our relationship further with Toyota and Lexus which are key brand partners for the group both in the UK and in Asia".
